There is no permanent cure for Alcolholism,but there are products such as antibuse which can be prescribed by your GP. This produces a severe reaction if mixed with alcohol and should be used with great caution. I have added the contact number for AA in Doha which you may like to use to find the number of an Al-Anon member who may be able to help you as a family member of an alcoholic.The first step in recovery for any Alcoholic is to admit He/she has a problem and for AA to be of any use your Mother must be willing to accept help and admit she has a problem.I am on holiday at the moment but will be back in Doha on Thursday. please PM me if you need any further info.
