As you grow up, you all the more touch base with reality, that's the time when one discovers the existence of other hidden considerations/agenda other than mere love and purity.

The more your heart yearns for purity (as you mentioned above), the more it will remain as such. You will just grow wiser and will become diligent of who has a good heart or otherwise.
