'Pirated' word is okay. Well, you see registration as you say is different from installing a software (like Office Windows). Registration is when you register via internet to their website for various updates etc. Sometimes when you burn CD's the software won't work because software companies spend a lot of money while developing software and don't encourage pirated CD's. Why it won't work ? Cause the programmers code it that way. Now to make a pirated CD work 'crack' is used.
