My problem is that I don't know anything about Melbourne. But regarding Qatar, atleast I can say I have lived in this region. (Dubai and Muscat).
You see the biggest luring point in Doha is the Money!..Not bad..not bad at all. But my friends say on the long term perspective, Melbourne is a safe bet.
I must admit..the glitter of money too much to resist.(So the case for every expat who is there in Middle east!).
