I'm unsure about the seriousness of some of the questions, but I'll try to answer a few. (just in case some new forum members are interested)
Why is the weather the way it is?
It's due to the position of the country in relation to the equator and the distance the country is from the sun.
Why isn't there any snow or rivers?
Snow? See above answer.
Rivers? Because there area does not have alot of techtonic shift. The country itself is quite small. I'd imagine that a river would split Qatar from Saudi :P
Why is there not much greenery?
Qatar is originally a desert country. The only greenery can come from plants that can handle the heat and low amount of moisture. However with development there is much more greenery than before.
Why do some women hide their faces and some not?
Answer is simple, culture, religion, preference, and pressure are some factors. At the end of the day, the way that some people decide to look or act is their business.
Why no cricket stadium?
Because the nation is not interested in cricket. Yes there are those that play it (mostly Indian and Sri Lankans) however if they wanted a cricket grounds I'd imagine they'd need someone who likes and supports the game. That being said, there are various grounds which can be rented out and can be used to play cricket on.
Why no huge public parks?
There are public parks but not huge ones. I'd say it's because it was not a priority but I'd imagine it would change sooner or later. I'd love a lovely large park like Hyde Park with a lake.
WHy is rent increasing?
It's the 'boom' effect. When a country develops rapidly, rent increases, stablizes then drops as competition and government intervenes.
Why are there no sharks or whales?
Qatar's sea is probably not suitable for them. I'm sure there are similar species though.
Why do some women use alot of perfume?
Traditional perfume itself is very strong. Some prefer it in it's natural oil based forum which is very strong, or some like an alcohol based version. But even then some apply alot of perfume because they are either used to the smell and need more to smell it, or perhaps someone lacks self control. It's hard to imagine each individual reason.
