just give a ring to 111 and tell the operator to block the sim immediately giving your ID if you have full internatiional access in your lost mobile.
secondly, just visit any Qtel, customer care personally with an ID copy and get a replacement SIM.
Thirdly, It may not be possible to trace the lost phone so easly as it seems to be unless the guy received is made some calls from your working line if you are having a GSM full access subsecription.
Just when u go to replace the sim, you can go to customer care in Al saad and ask for a unbilled details of calls made, and they can give you a hard copy of the calls recently generated in it. and from that No. you can call the person and question him who is person called him last day i.e. the period that the mobile was not in use by used., and report to police so that they can officially contact the call receiver and interrogate him to get hold of the person who got your unit and did not handover to police. It is very unlikely that someone handed over to police the phone if missed, and you are lucky if u got it. Anyway, the above envisaged guidance will assist you a lot to track your machine. Good luck.
