It is good you as a parent get worried, no doubt. But there are serious, very serious cases, and others that are not so difficult to treat. Things are changing in Qatar but many people has decided to leave when not finding the right treatment or therapy for specific problems. 20 months is too early to judge, I mean, I am not an authority in the topic but often children are measured in scales that just do not fit to everybody. Many two-years old get diagnosed as having 'autistic' behaviour when they are actually being normal. I am not saying you shouldn't follow up if you think it is the right thing, but Doha might not be the right place for that sort of specialist. Good luck, though, the center I mentioned might give you info for what they call 'treatable' cases.
