Back on topic for advisor - yes you get a booze licence for a central expensive booze depot in Doha. You have to take it home and lots of ex-pats have bars in their houses, well the ones who have lived in the region for long enough tend too.... you CANT take booze into RLC! So you will have to make do with going into Doha and going to the many bars that exist and drinking Fosters (not much choice here), i opted for Kilkenny when its available. There are dress codes for certain bars and ethnic cleansing will be performed by doorman at some locailities. Well this is a police state so you have to live with it or move out. 3mnths on 2 weeks off - nice life. Save money and then try and blow it all in thailand or somewhere.
