Good morning and how are you doing today and everyday? Hope that you are just doing fine. Well I have a great idea because someone who is very close to my heart get divorced and I went through all the trouble with her from time to time until she got it.
Well, hopefully there is no problems between them and both are agreed to that divorce. If she have problems [like her husband is hitting her, disrespect her, etc ....] then she should just open a case against him in the Primary Court asking for divorce.
The application form can be found there in front of it and you can fill it there and apply. They will of course talk to her to know what is the issue and one of the Judges will meet her. After that they will inform the husband and they will just announce a date for meeting where both would come and the judge would listen to both.
After that they will just transfer you to somewhere else [all of this would be most probably if the husband refuses to give her the divorce otherwise it won't take that much] which is the Supreme Council for the Family and they would have meetings with each one alone and then both and from there they will send the feedback to the court again and another meetings would be held and the story is really long especially if the husband does not want to give her divorce easily.
The cost of it depends on:
1- If she want to hire a lawyer then that depends on her and the one she hires.
2- Opening a case will not cost that much and I remember something around 50-125 Q.R
3- If she wants to ask someone for example, her brother or father to be in charge for talking instead of her, going from here to there and sign the papers without she even be there then she has to go somewhere to get this paper first and it will cost 75 Q.R
4- Additional fees would be like 150 Q.R in the end, I'm not really sure about the total costs for that because honestly, back then I was ready to pay anything to free her from that idiot [sorry] known as her husband.
Those goes for Citizens and Arabic nationality and I'm not sure about the European or American Nationalities or Civilians Laws or if Qatar Divorce Laws apply to them.
