To put it simply advisor, taxis don't get into RLC. They need a RLC pass. So you have to walk back to your camp, a few kilometers at most but in this heat pretty terrible. Taxis will cost you 100-200+ QR each way depends on if they are official taxis, destination etc. spilt that between 4 people not to bad. Or you could get a lift from somebody driving into Doha from one of the sites / plants.
I am not 100% familar with camps but they appear segregated into different companies with variable standards - Techniq should be one of the better.
Only recently with the intro of some of the majors have events started like a big concert with philipion band and recently a footbal competition. But nothing else, even Doha has more social functions.....
