I love these debates since it gives me something to think about. (when I was younger in high school and there would be class debates, I'd choose the side I had less arguments for to challenge myself :P)

I always imagined a kink as a 'chink' as in a chink in a chain.
So ironing metal felt strange :P
Alas, I guess a kink must be a wrinkle and nothing more.
