May b its a cultural thing........I feel qatarisun is right......either u should ignore the person or tell him politely that u r not interested in the first place. Yelling and shouting at somebody's advances is considered impolite in the western culture.

I remember an Indian girl in our college calling someone a bas*ard just because he wanted to take her out. He was really confused.

Secondly if u want to get sympathies or start man bashing I think this is not the right forum.....just give them a call and discuss ur heart out.
