A small note to some friends who made their comments here saying that the European Expats are paid more than their Indian/Asian counterparts becuse of their higher educational standards. It is not necessarily the higher education and their higher standards in all cases. In many cases it will be the pre-determination of their employers who believe that the Eurpeans will deliver their job much better than an Indian or Asian. I have been here for quite long time and I do remember a guy from a European country who was a mere newspaper boy in his country was given the job of a Manager where as there were Indians/Asians in that company who were much educated working under him as his Assistant. The Employer was very much in favour of the white skin and still are. As per my knowledge there are many Empolyers in Qatar who are looking at the skin/tongue of their employees and I know some of my friends working as Managers for 15 years in a Company getting half salary of another National who has got white skin/tongue who delivers not even 75% of the others.
