Hi! I own a 98 Jeep Wrangler, but it is a standard shift, not automatic.

In researching the Jeep Wrangler in 1998, I did not come across any "problems" with automatics. The only thing I found out was for resale value, the standard shift is more desirable than an automatic for that particular type of car. ;)

Overall, I've never heard of any problems with that year/make/model.
