You need to have a valid Qatar RP for at least 6 months. The visa fees are BD10 for 3 days and BD15 for 5 days
1 BD = 10 QR
I have just come back from Bahrain on 3rd Mar 09 so I know it is the correct info.
Tips:
1. Stay in a hotel apartment.....its cheap and clean and costs QR300/night (2 Bedroom fully furnished)....you can book it at the arrivals lounge at the airport (next to Sixt Rent a Car counter)
2. Hire a car coz cabs are not cheap.....eg: QR70 from airport to Manama (One way)....a hired car will cost you QR100/day and can be hired from the airport. Go to Hanco/Oscar rent a car at the arrivals lounge at the airport. Driving in Bahrain is really easy and the roads are very well marked......watch out for one way streets as most of the streets in Manama are one way!
3. You don't need to exchange money when visiting Bahrain (if you do you will be the looser).......you can pay in Qatari Riyals. Its accepted anywhere, even at a local grocery (However, they can also give you change back in AED/Oman Riyal/Saudi Riyal....which is also accepted everywhere in Bahrain....so watch out)
Hope this helps.
