Hi all, Just read the previous posts and have a bit of advise. I've been running vista and XP dual boot on both my laptop and the Desktop for the past 3 months. And both run great. Lambo the problem doesn't seem to be in your stock hardware. Thats ok. But Vista unlike XP does a lot of Direct X 10 processing through its API and the best way to make it run fast (real fast!!!) is not by upgrading the ram but adding a graphics accelerator card. That takes a huge load off the ram. In fact even the Aero interface is fast.
Go in for one of the newer DX10 cards, like the Nvidia 88 series. Don't know the corresponding ATI cards, but the should be available. Try it out and you'll see the difference.
Hope that helped.......bye all....
