First of all, Is this Bold locked on Qtel? meaning is the old user in Doha or this phone is been imported from somewhere else.

If this phone originally being used in Doha on QTEL, then you can unlock and use it.

if it is used in another country on another network, it will be very difficult.

That is something with used blackberry, one should be very careful when buying them.

RIM the manufacture supports this feature so that blackberry is not sold and used in another country.
