Thanks Hasan. I would like to know however the different accounting principles, procedures and issues applicable to the oil and gas industry. Knowing how to make debits and credits would not be enough as someone has to know how to treat those transactions that are unique to the oil and gas industry such as the treatment of exploration cost, accounting for international operations, offshore operations and enhanced recovery activities, valuation of proved oil and gas properties, joint ventures, etc.
