It will give you a chance to settle in and get used to the crazy driving here as the roads tend to be quieter in July and August. It tends to be over populated with men here in the summer as all the ladies leave. You should check out garveys club ( on salwa road) its usually a good place to have a drink and meet other people in the same boat.My other half will be spending quite a bit of time there over the summer as I go home to kerry next week
It is am easy place to settle into really a small town among the expat community. You'll be grand once you give the place a chance.
