When I was at university I was tea lady at the hospital on the weekends. I really enjoyed my job esp on geatrics ward. The oldies were polite and friendly. Often of course very interesting about 'when I was a lass.......' stories.
such as 'the best time of my life when the GIs came to our village...ha ha ha ha'
I saw great testaments of love with one husband saying, 'I met her over fifty years ago and she is still as beautiful as the day I met her'
it was a better job that serving drunken nobs in a pub.
having access to copious amounts of tea also helped my hangovers!
