What ever the Landlady did is wrong. She should have confirmed with Michael that he will leave the room before she offered it to you. Once you have agreed and already moved your belongings she should not agree with Michael even if he is her friend to stay there. If she want ot keep her friend and kick you out ask her to compensate you for your expenses and problems occurred due to her.
