There are limited options for expats to buy in Qatar. If I have understood it properly, non-Qataris (by birth i.e. citizens) can only purchase land that is reclaimed, such as the Pearl. You couldn't just buy a villa in a compound by villagio for example.

I would investigate what you would like to buy, then approach your bank, although keep in mind that not all of the houses have been built on the pearl, so you may have a wait to move it...
