- Laser is painful and expensive (Depending on ones perception of what is 'expensive' of course.)
It is also such a 'new' technology that the long term 'side-effects' are unknown at this stage.
It also only works on very dark hairs as it requires high amounts of melanin to work. http://books.google.co.nz/books?id=DAurNiaE2XMC&pg=PA136&lpg=PA136&dq=la...
- Waxing is painful and can reduce the hair re-growth, however this will only be an advantage if one waxes the same area continually - sometimes for years.
- Shaving is a big NO NO!
- Depilatory cream is not painful and not expensive however it does not reduce the hair re-growth and stinks out your bathroom during application. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_depilatory
- Epilator - Much the same as plucking but on a larger scale. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epilator
