First, I was just talking to a national who doesn't even like his cousin coming for a visit because the cousin ogles the women in his own family. He described it as his cousin having "bad eyes." So it does happen among the Qataris that Qatari women are demeaned and made to feel uncomfortable by men and it certainly can't be because of their "provocative dress."

Second, I just bought a new phone with video capabilities--in part to gather evidence of any sort of attack that I may come across in the future. I have the video camera on one of the quick buttons so I can start filming in a second and I practice how to start capturing video so I don't have to fumble through the menus when something actually happens. Without evidence, nothing will ever be done. With evidence, you can share the facts with the police, or with YouTube: their (the authorities') choice.
