The hotles/clubs near Oasis etc. beaches suffer from being downstream of all the oulets along the corniche as this has an anticlockwise seawater circulation - if any. So beaches are poor quality (sometimes not visible to the naked eye) unless they are replenished. If you want sea swimming and lounging on beach the only choice i would recommend at the moment is the Sheraton. It is resonable price (<10k) and doesnt have a huge offshore development being built just offshore which kindof ruins the view.....in 2010 i am sure the Ritz/intercon etc will be great but still expensive.

I checked the 4 seasons - yearly membership = 20k, i havent returned.......
