Last Year I travelled by Srilankan Airines,transit was about 6 hours and the Airline gave a hotel accomodation in Colombo,same way you can check with the Airline the passenger is travelling ,to ask for a transit accomodation and you can meet them in the hotel.All thebest, if it clicks pls send me one PM so that I can ask another cousin of mine travelling to try soon.Usally if it is the National Airline many times PAX can get accomodation in the hotel and you ask friend to check with the Qatar Airways,All the best
