The company cannot force the employee to stay if that is the case. The employee can always resign but give at least 1 month notice period to his employer/company, within that period the employer/company will have time to hire someone to replace you. But if you resigned w/in your contract period, the company will ask you to shoulder your travel expenses(ticket) back home.
