In my experience customs never search your hand-luggage. I've brought in medication I needed from England without any issues arising (and they were prescription medicines too)...In all likelihood, so long as u don't draw attention to them then there really shouldn't be an issue. U can actually find a range of over-the-counter prescriptions - and that's even anti-depressents too.......best thing is to go see a doctor here first though - I hear Doha Clinic's very good for the sort of thing u might wish for...
