If you don't want a big dog, what will you do when the puppy grows up? Have you had dogs before? They're a lot of responsibility.

Here's a website link that maybe you should look at before you get a dog http://www.canadianliving.com/life/pets/secrets_every_dog_lover_should_k...

Sorry, but the tone of your message to my ear was that this puppy is going to have to be "convenient" - puppies aren't convenient, that's why they're cute so you'll love them anyways :)

Apologies if I've misunderstood, perhaps you could try fostering a dog before taking one on permanently - mine is 10+ years old and still going strong on 4 - 5 walks a day including 2 "good" walks (30 - 60 minutes). Trip to the vet at least once a year for shots and checkups - QAR300+. Spay/Neuter - QAR500/200+.

Dogs are a big commitment in time and effort - but well worth it. Hope things work out well for you.
