Wow Gia u've got a very cynical view of man kind. Yes we all have needs to satisfy but we are not slaves to them because we always have a choice. We are not decieving ourselves because we claim we love others but only love ourselves, believe it or not humans love one another, we are not as selfish as u have portrayed us to be. There is such thing as love, although its image has been distorted and people have mistaken lust to be love, love is still around us and will always be there. What do u mean we keep going like animals? And like me, there are many people satisfied with their lives.
Esalvo76, personally I must disagree with ur opinion. I do not need a man "to make me feel good about myself that I can make a man care for me and eventually love me." nor do I need him to make me stronger because of his weakness as u said. Actually I don't NEED a man, I WANT a man. There's a difference. I want a man not for the reasons u mentioned but for companionship, someone who completes me (and Gypsy's reason too lol).
It's sad to see how people view love and marriage and all that. There is no hope anymore, no faith in love. Yes reality has been tough on most of us, but never give up hope. Once hope is lost, life is not worth living anymore.
