Usually, Family visit visa is for 6 Months. But if you want to stay some more time, you can fill up a form(available at any Typing Center - mention for One month extension) and u can directly go to Immigration Office early morning around 7 AM you should be there in the First Floor of the Immigration Office (Captain's Office).
You can submit the documents, Most of the time Captain will give you One month/15 Days or some time only 7 Days extension. If you are ready to extend you have to pay 200 for the extension,regardless of the period.
Then you can continue the same thing two three times.
Then, Once you left the country you can apply for a visa after three months only. There is no excuse.
Note: Why don't you apply for a Family Visa, Now u can get a Family Visa easily.
