There is a major difference in Hindu religion and Islam on the point you just mentioned.
"Each god depicts different fortune…. like one is for wealth… one is for knowledge… one is for health & long life… one is for removing obstacles in life and so on...sounds funny?? but its true in our country."
In islam, we have 99 names of Allah, Al-Raziq, Al-Shafay, Al-Qadir etc... all are corresponding to the properties you mentioned respectively. But in islam these are not different gods but different attributes of Allah. Allah is one and He gives u food, wealth, life, remove obstacles etc. What I need wealth from Allah i call Him in my prayers as "Ya Raziq", when i need health when I'm sick I call him in my prayers as "Ya Shafay" etc.
May Allah bless us and guide us to the right path! Aameen!
