I find it difficult to swallow some of the advice on this board? A base QR35k Salary/Month for living in Qatar?

That is ludicrous! In the US, that would amount to a mind boggling $115,000 P/Anum... guess what.. that is $5,000 more than what a pediatrician makes, $12,000 more than what an average litigant lawyer makes and $36,100 more than what an average Electrical Engineer makes. And wait.. Life in the US is considerably more costly than living in Qatar. You can ask me, I lived in "taxachusetts" where 23% of my earnings went to taxes last year ALONE .. (thats $9,200 less my meager $40k salary)

That means that approximatley 3,000 QR is taken out of my savings a month!
Yes, rent hikes are horrendous here, but most reputable companies provide accommodation packages, a relatively alien concept to Western corporations.

Take my advice with a grain of salt, but don't expect a
QR 29,000/month salary on a single income UNLESS YOU PLAN on being executives.. a highly unlikely prospect for the 90% of us on this board!
