It is always next day .... from the Time of "Farj" prayers which is normally at 3:45AM (depending on sunrise)
Lets say moon is seen today at 6pm so we will carry on eating till next day early morning until 'Farj Prayers' from the time Fajer Prayer is heard we (Muslim) will stop eating till Evening 'Maghrib Prayers' (Sunset) which is normally at 18:10 hrs. time will be depending on sunset.
