The fact that all living matter originated from water was CERTAINLY not common knwoeldge 1400 years ago...
I am egyptian, and having studied bits and pieces of egyptian history, there is no refernece to the ancient egyptians specific knowledge of the planets and orbits as was described in the quran ( as proud as it would make me if they actually did hehe)..
The quarn also details the stages of growth of the human embreyo inside the whoom, which is CERTAINLY not common knoweldge in the woeld 1400 years ago ...
There is refernece in the quran to the phenomenon of stars exploding in the outer space ( unseen to the human eye ) and how it looks like after exploding in strikingly accurate details...
There is more hard sciene in the quran than i can include in one post...
Having said that, i totally understand what u mean about not needing to resort to superstitions to explain what is fundemntally a scientific pehenomenon...
However, i differ with u in the difinition of supersticious...
God is not a supersticion, but ( in my belief ) is fact, with AMPLE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT....
And correcting your information, the quran was NOT AT ALL WRITTEN NIETHER DECAED NOR CENTURIES AFTER THE DESTH OF MOHAMMAD...
it was written a few years afetr his death...
There were hundred's of muslims who learnt teh quran by heart when MOhammad was alive..
after his death, his 3rd successor ( Osman Ibn Affan) worried that the 1st generation of quran knowers was starting 2 die one by one, so he gathered all of them into groups of 3...
one would write , and 2 would authinticate that what he wrote is EXACTLLY WORD BY WORD what they know the quran to be...
and that is how it was collected and preserved...
there are copies of the quran dating back 1400 years, that are exactlly word by word and letter by letter what we read today...
Questioning that fact leads me to believe u r a tad misinformed about islam, which is not a crime or anything ( lol) , but u should be carefull with that kind of info for its both wrong and misleading for urself and the many others who dont know the faith of islam..
A fianl word to you ( not that i m trying 2 change ur convictions)..
If what u say is true ( about science being able 2 eliviate ALL MISTERY eventually), then why is it that there are so MANY scientists today who are at the top of their field who are religious, believe in god, and view science from a Godly angel?
If there is any group of people who should unanimouslly without reservation affiliate themselves with ur school of though , it would certainly be scientists, but that is not the case...
niether is it the case for scholrs of exact sciences ( Like chemisrty and maths), nor is it true for the so called non exact sciences like sychology and anthroplolgy etc....
Have a gr8 day
( ps: is it not obvious that qa love DOES NOT HAVE a boy friend? how else would u decribe this edginess;) hehehehehe
sorry bro...
