At the Najma souk there are a lot of second-hand furniture shops, but the prices are fairly high. You can bargain, of course, but for most items you'd do just as well by buying new. The Najma souk also has places where you can order new furniture custom-made.

This past Friday I saw a few itinerant peddlers selling second-hand clothing, household goods, automotive parts, etc., but most of the merchandise was just rubbish; rags and loose screws and utter crap. I couldn't believe that anyone would pay for that stuff.

The Najma souk is a very interesting place to poke around in, but I hold tight to my wallet when I'm there.
