i will agree with u that there is a militant side to human beings from all walks of life and from all religious affiliations...
I will agree with u that some " MUSLIM FACTIONS" are still stuck in midieval times...
i will agree with u that the scholars of islam have failed ( in recent times) to bring the religion of islam up to date ...
I again reitterate that this has ABSOLUTELLY NOTHING to do with the faith of Islam itself..
It does have to do with Bad educational systems, backward political systems, and a relative lack of freedom of thought( in religion as well as all other aspects of life)...
It doesnt mean Islam is militant or violent by nature...
with all due respect, The fact that Saudi has swords on the flags reflects nothing but the bedouin culture of Saudi arabia , and the fact that as a state, it was formulated by a war ( much like the United states for that matter)...
If u want to be fair using this argumet, u have 2 take a look at the flags of the other 52 Muslim states ( none of which have any refrence to swords or any such thing) which proves that Islam is not the reason they have a sword of their flag...
Having said that ,In the entire history of Saudi arabia ( established in 1934 if i remeber correctlly) THEY HAVE NEVER EVER EVER FOUGHT A WAR WITH ANYONE!!!!
On the other hand, i m pretty sure that American and Bristish troops at one point had swords on their flags as well ( especially at the time of the war of independance in the united states)
Now the United statses and a country like australia are not muslim and are less than 200 years old, and look at how many wars they were involved in and the magnitude of these wars....
On the tolerance issue, i have already told u that i dont believe Mulsims ( now adays) are portraying the true tollerant nature of Islam...
But my friend, again this has nothing 2 do with Islam...
Ask jews ( the single most prosecuted faction of humans in history), when there hay days were, and they will tell u a bunch of dates that all have 1 things in common...THE MUSLIM EMPIRE/STATE...
The example of Jeuraselem when the muslims captured it from the romans, and Andalusia ( modern day spain), in which the muslim empire established one of the most impressive dynasties lasting for 700 years , and muslims christians and jews lived together in perfect harmony....
i dont mean no disrepsect to no body, but its the same spain that saw the inquistion...
My point again is simple...
i will agree with u on so many things about what certain individuals ( who happen 2 be muslims) are doing these days, and that these things are an outrage and in contradiction of the true human spirit and are upholing and redicilous...
