The best thing about this forum is to find like minded people living close to you.

I lived in Doha for 3 years (2002-2004) after that I happen to leave. During my stay in Doha I never learnt anything new or increased my technical skills mainly because I did not have proper resources to learn even though I had access to the latest hardware in the Industry. But today the world is different ever since e-learning and availability of ADSL has changed the way of learning. In 2002 I used Qtel EBHAR pre-paid cards to use Internet and I could hardly get not more than 45.6 kbps connection speed. I had paid internet and telephone bills of almost 546 QR per month sometimes for downloading Command and Conquer Generals, Yuris Revenge PC Games. But today in Doha you have ADSL 1mbps for 300 QR. Eventhough it is costly compared to the rates in Europe and USA better than having dialups. Before my departure ADSL had 1 GB download caps.

I'm searching over the internet whether I could locate any study groups in doha for ccie routing and switching. I'm happy to meet some of you folks online. I'll be moving in a couple of weeks to dawlatul qatar. I missed doha sometimes I don't know how the city looks like after 2 years. I had heard many things from many people that the city has changed.

By chance kicker22 or others who have posted here are you guys working in mannai.....

Regarding 2nd hand switches my friends in dubai told me it is pretty cheap in DXB.

kicker22 --- CBT Nuggets have released CCNP - ISCW series by Jeremy. All the courses by Jeremy are pretty decent. Since no cisco press are available for the new CCNP papers and the new BSCI and BCMSN exams what materials are you using to prepare for the exam. I guess you have too much of QoS,WLAN,VoIP,MPLS stuff added to the new updated exams of CCNP. WLAN and MPLS are pretty new things for me.

Hope to meet and talk to the posters of this thread.

Pearson ...

PS: my real name is not pearson. but i use it and i've taken it from pearson education label in the cisco press books
