The official line on this seems to change from time to time. Sometimes they say that any women can sponsor their husbands, sometimes only women in certain professions (teachers, nurses), and sometimes not at all. It probably depends on your nationality as well. I'm not sure what their stance is at the moment.

Try and get your company involved and be prepared for a long process and lots of visa runs to Bahrain for your husband.
