For someone who doesn't know torrents, uTorrent will be very confusing. Read your post again, this time as if you know nothing of torrents/ routers/computers. Opening ports, Configuring firewalls, BitTorrent isn't even tech supported anymore. It's too old for that. uTorrent was confusing even to me.
