Ridiculous to suggest that only native english speakers laugh when something is funny said in their language by a non speaker. It is not a derisory laugh it is laughter at something funny.
For example I refer you to a post yesterday called italian accent which was posted by a non native english speaker. It was mildly amusing because of piece sounding like piss and fork like fuk when said in italian.
Also the fact that you said "sorry but it is a case of snobbery and arrogance" suggested you were answering that particular statement of mine which was nothing to do with accents.
