Get a bandwidth monitor that keeps a tab on all of you bandwidth, like how its being used up by individual programs and such, both upload and download. You'll see if you take up your full upstream, your downstream becomes very slow. Often windows softwares leech all your upstream without you knowing it, which is very annoying. As for Skype, nope havent used it much. Only VoIP on TeamSpeak and multiplayer gameservers, which seem to be working fine.

Other then that, atleast my internet has been working normal as usual. Getting pretty low ping on the UK servers these days so thats good.
