1- Is that normal for all housing leases in Qatar? There is nothing called normal cause it might be a special agreement between the landlord and the agent.
You sign with the agent, and issue the cheques to the owner? why not! everything is possible as I mentioned earlier.
If you're evicted, can't you simply go to the bank and cancel the posdated cheques? not that simple cause the owner will report him to the police.
