It seems that most of the tenants in Qatar don't know the rules here.
Moudir is right with the steps he mentioned, the problem that most of the owners don't allow the real estate agents to take care of the whole thing (proprety managment as we call), they like to take care of their proprtey by themselfs and not to pay any agent to take care of the mainenance and collecting the rent, thats why most of the agents job here is finding the tenants and finish the deal with the owner, so we are not a SCUM.
VW, don't go to the bank and cancel the posted checques cause the owner will report you to the police, you better go to the agent and ask him to meet the owner and finish the matter with him even do the right maintenance or cancel the contract and I hope he is a fair man and give you your rights.
