My husband and I are awaiting news on whether we have jobs at the Asian Games in Doha from June to December. Sports is his profession and so he is more likely to get a job than me. I think living in Doha would be an amazing experience, but I'm concerned that if only he had a job I would go crazy for six months at home. We have no kids. I'm 27 and have always worked in my profession (journalism, communications) and enjoy the social activity and independence of work. I guess I'm just wondering if there were enough things to occupy my time there, if it's normal for a Western women to explore the city alone and if there were others in this situation?
