hehehe.
I never knew I was so famous ;) lol
Sorry Rose i only saw your post just now...I've been off the QL community for a few days and I never imagined I have missed a lot.
Well...regarding the price you were given for your implant it's little more expensive than the international prices BUT yet it's not a very exaggerated one compared to prices of other dental services here in Qatar.
The Remaila hospital offers dental services including dental implants for those people who hold a HMC Health Card
Prices at Remaila are less than the private sector but their problem is the loooooooooong time they take between appoinments due to the extremely high flow of patients...so if you just weigh it you will realise it's worth paying the money in a private clinic and get done in the shortest time possible.
BTW, international prices that I know: in the USA an implant would cost you around 5,000 USD which is much higher than here in Doha while in Egypt for example it would cost you around L.E.5000 which is equal to less than 1000 USD ....
so as you can see there is a wide variety of price range of one service according to the country and to the availability of materials and skilled practitioners.
Here in Qatar, most dental materials and equipments are imported and not so many skilled practitioners who can do dental implants (although many would claim they can)!!!
If you are intersted please send me an e-mail at [email protected] with your contact details and I might arrange for you to some visit at HMC and see what we can do for you
