Karen A Smith
Karen A. Smith is an expert on Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) production and supply. She has worked with AdBlue (the name for DEF elsewhere in the World) since the beginning in 2005, and has good knowledge of the challenges and benefits different stakeholders face when working with this product.
Working with those who distribute DEF to customers, and having a brother who drives an SCR truck she hears most of the discussions happening around this product. She is also a member of the Young Farmers Club in the UK; where AdBlue (DEF) is now being used across certain models of farm machinery.
Working for Air1, she regularly works on the Air1 Route planner which identifies Air1 filling stations on a driver’s route. She has developed an i-phone and Android App to help drivers find their nearest DEF (AdBlue) Air1 station locator.
