Hello My name is Emma but you can call me Em, Ever since I can remember I have been interested in Pregnancy, Labour, the birth process, babies, breastfeeding “woman’s business” and anything else that involves a woman becoming a MUM !. So here I am today a Doula…. What’s a doula you ask?
Well here is the easiest way to put it into words. A doula is an experienced birthing companion who understands the emotional and physical needs of a woman and her family throughout her pregnancy, labour and birth, and provides continuous support (non medical) and care for a woman throughout her whole birth experience.
I offer a lot more than just a birth doula and if you are interested you can contact me about what I can offer you and your new or growing family, My role as a Birth Doula is that of a professional non medical birth companion, able to provide: Continuity of care during pregnancy and the birth process, Informed choice birth planning, Reassurance and encouragement, Breathing and relaxation techniques, Massage, help with labour and birth positioning, Support for the birth partner.
I have two children which were two very different birth experience’s and I know just how hard you have to focus at one of the most amazing empowering emotional and inspiring times in your life, I would be honored to share that with you and help you understand the changes that happen to you, baby and your body.
My aim is to be the best support your you and your family in this Amazing journey
