You could be a traveler visiting the beauty of Qatar in the winter or you could be a long-time resident of Qatar but never did anything adventurous or know where to go. Well, whether you fit in the first or second criteria, we have composed a list of places to go and things to do in the winters of Qatar and how much it’ll cost you.

Heritage Exploration - Nomadic Overnight Adventure

If you’re thinking of a weekend getaway, 365 Adventures have a Nomadic Overnight schedule for you. You get to spend two days and a night, driving on the desert of Mesaieed and sleep in the middle of a desert which you can most likely be able to see the stars. The next day, they will take you to Al Zubara Fort which is one of the most acclaimed UNESCO heritage sites in Qatar.

For those of you who never had traditional Qatari dishes, this is your chance. Meals will be included in this trip and one of the meals will be hosted at a traditional farm by a Qatari host.

Concluding the trip, they will take you to old town Qatar to Al Jumail to explore the ruins before being dropped off to a location within Doha city.

Prices vary depending on number of people and services you want for the trip. Click here to learn the prices and how to book.

Full moon Yoga and Desert Safari with BBQ

Get the experience of a bumpy ride and a calm relaxing yoga session all within eight hours. Dhal Al Misfir: Qatar’s cave: Independent trip

A village in Qatar called Rawdat Rashed has one of Qatar’s more renowned caves, Dhal Al Misfir, a 40-meter deep cave. As Rhianna sings, “shine bright like a diamond” diamonds don’t shine, but rather they reflect light. In this cave, barely any light enters, but whatever light that does enter bounces off crystals found in the cave which result to warm glows. These crystals are called “desert roses”. Crystals aren’t the only residents at the cave, you also may find owls.

To drive up there safely, click here where it provides a Google map location.

Extreme Desert Show

If you want to catch something for a short time, you can go watch a 30-minute extreme desert show and catch the sun set.

You can enjoy five hours of cars showing off their skills on the dunes. There are two shows happening this month November 16th and November 30th (this one includes a live BBQ dinner).

Kayaking through mangroves

If you want to get away from the sand a little and attempt to get into the water if it’s not too cold, try kayaking. If you’ve never tried it, kayaking is pretty simple and extremely fun! Book yourself a trip to go kayaking in Qatar by clicking here

You can also volunteer cleaning up the desert or become a leader with Green Mangroves!

Rock climbing

Would you like to try rock climbing? You can tag along with Doha Climbers and go visit the wonderful landscape of Zekreet.
