women boxing or kickboxing classes in Doha?

Hello,

I wonder if it's possible for women to learn boxing or kickboxing. My endurance and muscles are really useless at the moment and this sounds like much more fun than standing on a treadmill and going nowhere.

Where could I go to, do I need to join a club or just take lessons (with other people), and what costs would be connected to that? I'm not really interested in a club with pool and other facilities I won't use anyway.

I am looking for a professional boxing trainer or classes, I prefer a female. I am not looking for Tae Bo/Kickboxing type of thing. Please PM if you are interested or know where I can look for one.

I know those are old posts, but has anyone discovered a centre for kickboxing here, OTHER than Aspire? I've heard of one near the "Centre" but where, does it have a name? Anyone have a clue?

And by the way, fitness classes in general are about 50QR/session, discounted monthly rates.

Otherwise, the Ritz Carlton offers kickboxing for 75QR/class for non-members.

Issam -Scorpion - I'm an ex-kick boxer and interested in your post, but the video shows very crowded classes unlike what you mentioned of having less students per class to focus. Also what are your enrollment fees ?

I was a member of the Fitness First Gym back in the Philippines. But I did not finish my course because I have to come to Doha before my visa expires. I was surprised when I heard about it's branch here because my instructor in the Philippines isn't pretty sure if they have branch in Doha. So, I want to know if you have any idea how much is the membership fee in Doha branch! Thank you so much. Thank you so much?

Welcome to The Champions Club

The Champions Club is the home of head instructors Issam Laafissi, Anouar Atigui and Hicham Laghzali. The premier Qatar Muay Thai gym. After winning every Muay Thai honour, our instructors decided to share their knowledge of Muay Thai with instruction from Nasser Dergahm by opening The Champions Club

Our facility features huge mat space, gym equipment, and most importantly, the world class instruction available by Issam, Anour and Hicham

At The Champions we have a variety of classes to choose from, there’s something for everyone. We have our standard Muay Thai classes for those just getting into the sport. These classes will guide you through techniques as well as give you a good workout. Our classes are small so every individual gets personal attention to improve their game at each class.

We also have a Cardio program for those who want to focus more on getting in shape. These classes are great for anyone looking to get a great workout and have fun at the same time. If you’re tired of running on the treadmill or the boring classes at your gym, this is for you.

Our classes are for both genders!

Give us a call today and come visit our next class!

Hi

I have been looking for kickboxing classes in Doha and have come across your post - are you in Qatar still and do you teach?

If so, I'd like to join. I used to take thai kickboxing about 8 years ago and would like to take it up again. The problem so far is that the school behind Ramada won't let girls join their kickboxing classes and I can't find any others.

Im a 27yr old English female, I'd like to join mixed classes if you are teaching.

Will be in Doha soon insha allah. Professional instructor formally of Chelsea Football Sports gym/spa and other premium west London gyms. Specialize in female kick boxing(Muay Thai)training. PM Mute if you're serious and want results and not just an ordinary 'boxerobics' class. Old school, traditional and not for light hearted, but rewarding and the fun comes from the adrenalin and quick 'visible' results.

Lord, yes, exercising by oneself is about as much fun as having a root canal. I need peer pressure, someone screaming at me and a latte with friends afterwards in order to sweat. That's why I go to Aspire.

Oh, I did treadmill, crosstrainer and all the other stuff in the past but it's so boring, even with good podcasts. Either I want to go outside to work on my endurance or do a sport where I can reach a goal other than to manage training 5 minutes longer at the same spot. It's just boring.

hey Dude: No, aikido doesn't sound that interesting to be honest.

You just need to become a member at aspire, no extra charges for the classes.

Best way would be to visit Sun-Thurs during the evening. You will find the class schedule leaflets at the reception and also the membership forms etc.

Hi all,

just checked out what I thought was the Apire website but there's no information on sports classes there. I suppose it is this one? http://www.aspire.qa/ ? What would the costs there be and do I need to become a member of Aspire as well as paying for classes or how does it work?
